Getting to Calama and San Pedro

The vast majority of competitors coming to San Pedro de Atacama will initially arrive at Santiago de Chile. They will then need to take a 2 hour domestic flight to Calama. 

Lan Chile, Sky and PAL airlines all operate flights between Santiago and Calama and there are numerous flights daily.

After arriving at Calama on 14th November, competitors will be brought to the race hotel in San Pedro via shuttle bus. This road journey takes about 1.5 hours. There is a pre-race briefing scheduled for 20:00 hrs that will confirm the following days activities.

The Volcano Marathon trip concludes on 19th November when competitors are free to return home or otherwise travel onward from San Pedro de Atacama.
